Refund Policy

1. Overview

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how Fenced Off (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles cancellations, refunds, and order changes for temporary fencing hire services booked through our website or directly with our team.

This policy complies with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

2. Cancellations Before Delivery

You may cancel your booking any time before the scheduled delivery and installation.

  • If cancelled more than 24 hours before delivery:
    No cancellation fee applies.

  • If cancelled within 24 hours of delivery:
    A cancellation fee may apply to cover allocated labour, scheduling, and transport preparations.

  • If our driver/installer has already been dispatched:
    A call-out fee will apply even if the fencing is no longer required.

3. Cancellations After Delivery

Once the fencing has been delivered and installed, the hire is considered in progress.

Refunds are not available for:

  • Change of mind

  • Incorrect hire selection

  • Underuse of hired equipment

  • Early completion of construction or project

Hire charges apply for the full period booked or until the fencing is removed by Fenced Off.

4. Refunds for Service Issues

Under Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a remedy if services are not provided with reasonable care and skill.

A refund or partial refund may be provided where:

  • A major service failure occurs

  • We are unable to deliver the service as agreed

  • The fencing supplied is not usable for its intended purpose due to our error

We will assess refund requests on a case-by-case basis.

5. No Refunds for Damage or Misuse

Refunds are not provided for any of the following:

  • Damage to fencing panels, feet, clamps or accessories

  • Vandalism or theft of fencing during the hire period

  • Unsafe site conditions preventing installation

  • Customer-caused delays in access or installation

  • Interference, unauthorised movement or alteration of fencing

Any damage or loss will be charged at repair or full replacement cost.

6. Rescheduling

You may reschedule delivery or pickup at no cost if requested:

  • More than 24 hours before the scheduled service

  • Subject to availability of staff and vehicles

Late reschedule requests may incur additional charges.

7. Non-Arrival or No Access

If our team attends the site but cannot deliver or install due to:

  • Locked gates

  • No site access

  • Unsafe or obstructed conditions

  • Incorrect site information

A call-out fee will be charged, and a new delivery date will be arranged.

8. How to Request a Refund or Change a Booking

9. Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You may be entitled to a refund, replacement, or compensation if a major problem occurs.

This policy does not limit your rights under the ACL.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time.
The latest version will always be available on our website.
